Slate’s Mistakes for the Week of Dec. 1

In a Dec. 3 Science, Gideon Meyerowitz-Katz misstated the scale of reduction in peanut allergies before and after the guidelines changed. The allergies decreased by roughly 30 percent, from 1 in 100 kids to 1 in 150 kids, not 1 in 300 kids.

In a Nov. 24 Books, Laura Miller misstated that writer Maggie Nelson’s relationship chronicled in The Argonauts was with a transgender man and that Nelson underwent in vitro fertilization.
